Workshop by DKZ.2R - LaTeX for Academic Publishing

Since the launch of the DKZ.2R in November we successfully started hosting a variety of workshops e.g on the topic of python plotting and programming, Git, and Interactive visualization. On May 5th - 6th, we gave our workshop “An introduction to using LaTeX for academic publishing” for the first time. The workshop was held as an two-day, in-person event in Aachen. We covered the basics such as Introduction to LaTeX and Overleaf, structuring files and documents, as well as using tables, graphics, and error handling.

The workshop was well received by the participants. We therefore plan to repeat the course later this year at the University of Duisburg Essen. Additionally, we submitted all workshop material to “The Carpentries” and will hence be made available to instructors and workshop participants from all over the world.
