DKZ.2R @ E-Science Tage & Data-Science-Community Meeting Bochum
DKZ.2R Presents at E-Science-Tage 2025 and Data-Science-Community Meeting
The Rhine-Ruhr Center for Scientific Data Literacy (DKZ.2R) showcased its initiatives at two prominent conferences/community meetings in early 2025, highlighting its commitment to advancing data literacy in research.
E-Science-Tage 2025 – Heidelberg
From March 12 to 14, 2025, DKZ.2R participated in the E-Science-Tage 2025 held at Heidelberg University. Under the theme “Research Data Management: Challenges in a Changing World,” the conference addressed the evolving landscape of research data management and open science. DKZ.2R contributed a 20-minute presentation discussing its role in fostering a culture of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) research. The talk focused on supporting early-career researchers in enhancing their data literacy, emphasizing its significance in navigating the complexities of modern research environments.
Data-Science-Community Meeting – Bochum
On March 19th & 20th, 2025, the DKZ.2R participated in the second Data-Science-Community meeting. This event brought together data science professionals from the management/coordination level to exchange ideas and explore new project opportunities. DKZ.2R engaged with attendees through discussions and work-sessions, reinforcing its mission to make a long-lasting impact for the data-science-community in the Rhine-Ruhr region.
Through its active participation in these events, DKZ.2R continues to promote the importance of data literacy in research, aiming to empower scientists with the skills necessary to navigate the challenges of a data-driven research landscape.
