Dirk Reith is a physicist (Johannes-Gutenberg University, Mainz) and received his Ph.D. in computational chemistry in 2001 (MPI for Polymer Research, Mainz). After four years in industry (DaimlerChrysler, Stuttgart), he founded the Computational Chemical Engineering Group at Fraunhofer SCAI, Sankt Augustin, in 2006. Since 2012, Reith is professor for computational science and engineering at H-BRS. He is also scientific director of the Institute for Technology, Resource and Energy-Efficient Engineering (TREE) at H-BRS. In DKZ.2R, he acts as PI supporting the team from Bonn-Rhein-Sieg to provide their expertise in research data management to the consortium.
