Sebastian Houben is a professor at the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg specializing in environment perception for robotic systems. At the same time he is heading the group of “Multi-modal Foundation Models” at the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems in Sankt Augustin aiming to make large-scale foundation models deployable in close-to-application tasks. In DKZ.2R, he acts as PI supporting the team from Bonn-Rhein-Sieg to provide their expertise in research data management to the consortium.
